The 2020 NFL Draft has a loaded, deep quarterback class but some players need the right fit. These are the best fits for the top five prospects.

Despite how hyped the 2020 NFL Draft class is in regard to the quarterback position, every player at the position comes with questions. That’s obvious with any young player making the leap to the NFL but it’s especially relevant when it comes to the most important position on the field.

For example, Tua Tagovailoa has the injury concerns and the one-year success for Joe Burrow is concerning as well. Not all quarterbacks are created equal — a player may not fit team X’s “system” or, in the cases of some franchises, quarterbacks aren’t made for certain rosters.

Nevertheless, there are a few quarterback prospects who’ve started to establish themselves as legitimate first-round picks. Teams looking to take a quarterback have a list of guys they’d take, but not every quarterback is on every team’s board. It’s not always about talent but also about fit when it comes to a signal-caller.

There are those who will benefit from sitting on the bench and learning for a season as front offices build a team around them. In other cases, they’ll sit behind a veteran quarterback that’s continuing to play at a high level. Then, there are the rookie signal-callers who will come in and get thrown into the starting lineup for Week 1 and then beyond.

While teams like the Raiders, Saints and Steelers could potentially use young quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft that they can groom, they aren’t mentioned here for one reason or another — be it personnel already in place or not having the draft capital. Regardless, we need to look at where these vaunted players fit at the next level.

We are a long way away from the draft, so we’ll see what happens at the end of the college football and NFL seasons. For right now, though, here are the best fit for the top five quarterback prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft.
