19. Tennessee Titans (17)

Ryan Tannehill’s winning streak ends at two games as the new starter for the Tennessee Titans wasn’t able to lead them to a road victory over the Carolina Panthers. He did manage to throw for 331 yards but had two picks in the game, which was a killer.

Even worse was the way they allowed Carolina to just push them around. They went into the half trailing 17-0. IN the end, it was a 30-20 win for the Panthers but the game wasn’t nearly as close as that made it seem. They put up 13 points in the fourth quarter after the game was already decided.

Now at 4-5, things look rather bleak for the Titans. Their offense is built around the running game but in this one, they showed some huge holes on defense which kept them from relying on Derrick Henry the way they would like. Carolina’s running back Christian McCaffrey was able to rush for 146 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score as a receiver.

Tennessee simply isn’t built to win offensive shootouts and when they fall behind, they don’t have the receivers — or quarterback — to make the plays necessary to get back into the game. That’s been an issue for years and continues in 2019.
