17. Pittsburgh Steelers (20)

The injury bug has been getting after the Pittsburgh Steelers this season and in Week 9, they found themselves taking on the Indianapolis Colts without running back James Conner — which is in addition to them starting Mason Rudolph already with Ben Roethlisberger out for the season. They also even had a game without Rudolph as Delvin Hodges started Week 6 for them — and scored a win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

This week, they again notched a victory, which was their third in a row and fourth in their last five games. That’s impressive because they’ve turned an 0-3 start into a 4-4 record which suddenly has them in the mix for the AFC South with four divisional games left to play in their final eight games.

In addition to their games against their divisional rivals, the Steelers have the New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals on the schedule, two teams with a losing record. That means they are in a great position to make a run and try to salvage what felt like a lost season just a few short weeks ago.

While going for the division title is still a possibility, the real work this season will be trying to see what exactly they have in Mason Rudolph. The Oklahoma State product is expected to be the heir to Big Ben and this season has afforded him a long audition that will end up being very telling for him and the franchise.
