10. Kansas City Chiefs (14)

When the Kansas City Chiefs lost Patrick Mahomes a couple of weeks ago to a dislocated knee, things seemed rather bleak. They were able to turn to veteran Matt Moore who played well on the Thursday Night Football game against Denver when Mahomes was injured. They won that game easily but then were handed a loss at the hands of the Green Bay Packers in Moore’s first start. That wasn’t on him as he played rather well, tossing two touchdowns and no picks while going for 267 yards.

He wound up starting again despite some hope Mahomes would be ready to go and had another tough task in Week 9 as Kansas City hosted the Minnesota Vikings who were coming in red hot with a four-game winning streak. Moore and the Chiefs were up to the task as they ended up winning by a score of 26-23 thanks to a last-second field goal from Harrison Butker.

Moore finished with 275 yards on 25-of-35 passing with a touchdown and again no picks. He was efficient despite the running game struggling for much of the game. Damien Williams broke a 91-yard touchdown, which was huge but the team had just 56 yards on the remaining 17 carries of the game.

Now at 6-3, they remain in full control of the AFC West. And with Mahomes likely to return next week, they should have no problem securing the title.
