8. Buffalo Bills (8)

A 31-13 loss last week to the Philadelphia Eagles led to some speculation that the Buffalo Bills weren’t as good as their record indicated. It’s a fair question to ask since the Eagles were only the second team they faced this season that currently has a winning record. The other was the New England Patriots, who won by a score of 16-10 which gave them their first loss following a 3-0 start.

The question of whether or not they can compete with true contenders remains even after they had an incredibly easy win this weekend over the Washington Redskins. Buffalo quickly went up 17-3 and from there, they were simply controlling the ball and running the clock out.

Rookie running back Devin Singletary turned in the best performance of his young career, running for 95 yards on 20 rushes and adding another 45 yards on three catches. He was the focal point of their offense which is what they hoped he could be when they drafted him and later released LeSean McCoy. Second-year quarterback Josh Allen can use the help as well, considering he’s struggled with accuracy and they lack a legit No. 1 wide receiver.

As for the other side of the ball, the Bills continue to be a strong defensive team. They held Washington to just nine points and sacked Dwayne Haskins four times while limiting their big plays as well. Should they be able to make any noise in the postseason, this unit will be the reason why.
