29. Miami Dolphins (32)

Sunday was a perfect example that while owners and general managers will try and tank, the players on a team never will. There’s no way anyone in the Miami Dolphins front office can say they’re actually trying to win games. They traded away just about every player who has been successful for them and are now fielding a team full of back up caliber players.

That led to them starting out the season with a record of 0-7 — and none of those games were relatively close. While it was hard for fans to watch them stink it up, they had the solace of knowing they were in line for the No. 1 overall pick which could have changed their future.

Fans understood this and were already considering Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa to be their quarterback. On Sunday, they might have messed that all up. Or should I say, the players threw a wrench in the decision-makers plans as they laid an egg against the New York Jets.

At home against another 0-7 team, the Dolphins saw Ryan Fitzpatrick turn into FitzMagic as he tossed three touchdown passes — two of which went to rookie wideout Preston Williams. That led them to their first win of the season as they knocked off their AFC East rival by a score of 26-18.

The players had to love finally getting a win, but now they could wind up seeing Tua land elsewhere — like maybe Cincinnati where the final winless team resides.
