17. Trubisky finally gets benched against Lions

It sounds unfair to keep picking on Mitch Trubisky, but also this says a lot about how bad things have been on offense for the Chicago Bears this season.

After taking a major step in the right direction last year, 2019 has been an absolute disaster for Trubisky with the Bears, and there’s simply no way to sugarcoat the way he’s played.

While there are numerous frustrating factors that stand out, it’s difficult to top how Trubisky has failed to throw a touchdown pass in five of seven games started for Chicago this season.

With the Bears entering Week 10 as losers of four in a row, Matt Nagy’s team could be in for another rough outing this weekend against a team desperate for wins as well in the Detroit Lions.

Even if Chicago would appear to have the early advantage with this game being at home, this may not matter if the struggles continue for Trubisky on offense.

Assuming this happens, could Nagy finally give in, and make the switch at quarterback while sending Trubisky to the bench?

The Bears obviously would hate to see this happen, but also with their impressive play on defense going to waste each week, Chicago can’t afford to continue struggling on offense because of Trubisky.
