1. Raiders pull out second straight win in a close one

The Oakland Raiders have been a team hovering near the .500 mark in 2019. At 4-4 and 1-1 in the AFC West, the second of three games at home is an opportunity not to be missed. A win against the Chargers would be another notch in what could be a strong finish in November and potentially 4-0.

Los Angeles will be playing their last game in Oakland. As the team gets set to say goodbye to the Raiders faithful, the Chargers are the last AFC West team to play in Oakland. Don’t expect that to be lost on either team and especially Philip Rivers. It just won’t be what tilts the balance in LA’s favor.

Most simply put, the Raiders are playing at a more consistent and winning clip than the Chargers. Even in their losses, like in Houston, Oakland is much closer to putting it all together that Los Angeles is.

The Chargers lone standout win was in Week 9 against the Packers. Impressive yes, but when you consider their losses against underachieving teams like Detroit, Denver, Pittsburgh and Tennessee, it’s hard to find a good reason to expect a win at Oakland.

At the end of the day, the Raiders at home against a longtime rival like the Chargers feels like a bit of fate. In a final season in the East Bay, it’s hard not to like the Silver and Black close against a fellow charter member of the old AFL. Raiders 30, Chargers 27.
