2. Jones bounces back with 100-yard, 2 TD day

In what many hoped would be a breakout season for Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, he’s been hot and cold throughout the year. The last two weeks have been a prime example of that. After rushing for 67 yards on 13 carries and catching seven balls for 159 yards and two scores against the Chiefs in Week 8, Jones had only 30 yards on eight carries and one catch for a one-yard loss last week.

Having said that, as bad as the Packers run defense has been this season, the Carolina Panthers’ has been worse. Luke Kuechly and the D are giving up 133.4 yards on the ground per game. With Adams still not at 100 percent for Green Bay, this is going to be a day to feed their running back. If they do, he’ll thrive and end up with 100 rushing yards and two total scores.

1. Samuel gets loose for 60+ yard touchdown

One area where the Packers have truly struggled this season is when they are not able to generate pressure on the quarterback. Despite the talent they have at cornerback with the likes of Jaire Alexander and Kevin King, those defensive backs have been beaten routinely on deep passes whenever opposing passers have time to work. Curtis Samuel is a player that can make them pay for that.

Though the Panthers will rely heavily on McCaffrey and though Green Bay will pressure Allen well in this game, Carolina and Samuel will make the Packers pay at least once with a deep ball. In what I foresee being a back-and-forth offensive affair, Samuel will have one of the big plays of the day, breaking off a 60-yard touchdown for the Cats.
