3. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

Finding a franchise left tackle is on the top of every team’s list. Teams are always looking for that tackle who plays with athletic traits to protect the blindside. Well, look no further than Georgia left tackle Andrew Thomas, the 6-5, 320-pound prototype. Thomas’s build jumps off the screen, he’s in great shape but he’s not a lean tackle.

Though he isn’t overly flexible he moves well with light feet and quickness. There’s a spring in his step that helps him against speed rushers. The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabb’s marveled at Thomas’ ability to anchor in pass protection:

"“I don’t think I saw him get collapsed once in pure one on one situations in any of the games I watched.”"

He also has great length that he uses to his advantage and hit shows when he wins off the line of scrimmage. Thomas is a fighter with quick hands who doesn’t get beat too often against counter rushers, but he isn’t only about finesse. Thomas’ thick lower body aids in his ability to hold his ground against power rushers.

Against the run, he shows good leg drive and the ability to twist his man. Thomas keeps the blindside clean giving his quarterbacks all day to through the ball. He’ll hear his name called somewhere in the top five.
