Hamsah Nasirildeen. 21. player. 123. . S. Dallas Cowboys

Recently in keeping up with the November draft rumblings, I’ve seen a lot of people mocking defensive linemen to the Dallas Cowboys. However, after using their second-round pick (their first selection) in 2019 on Trysten Hill and also getting good production from that group this season, that doesn’t make sense to me, especially considering the still-present need to upgrade from Jeff Heath at safety.

At 6-4, 211 pounds, Hamsah Nasirildeen is an absolute monster in terms of his frame at safety. However, he’s not a bulky player that can’t move. He’s a great athlete with that build and has the ability to both come down and play the run and drop into coverage with success. While he still has room to grow, he’s taken a huge step forward in 2019 and is too enticing of a prospect for Dallas to move past.

CB. Philadelphia Eagles. Trevon Diggs. 22. player. 54.

The Philadelphia Eagles are not out of the playoff race just yet but they have not been the team that many people expected them to be this season. They have been a rollercoaster of performance throughout the year, a team that has tremendous highs and highly disappointing lows. A big part of that has been a secondary that, even when healthy, has been a huge issue for this team.

That’s why they look to Trevon Diggs with their first-round pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. Diggs is an absolute stud in terms of his physical profile, boasting length, size and speed that you want to see. More importantly, he’s truly come into his own as a player this season, displaying a great football IQ and improved footwork in coverage. He could very much help the Eagles secondary become less of a liability.
