K'Lavon Chaisson. 25. player. 16. . EDGE. Buffalo Bills

K’Lavon Chaisson is a player that is relatively divisive in the draft community. However, it’s hard not to be, at minimum, intrigued by the LSU edge rusher. His long, strongly-built frame and his athleticism within that build makes him a potentially devastating force on the outside. While he seems ideally suited for a 3-4 outside linebacker role, he has the potential to be a movable piece in any scheme.

Adding Chaisson to the creative and talented Buffalo Bills defense fascinates me. Sean McDermott is the exact type of coach needed to tap into the potential that Chaisson clearly possesses. Just as importantly, the Bills need to add some youth and explosiveness to their pass rush on the outside. The LSU product would surely do that and give Buffalo a high-potential prospect to develop.

Travis Etienne. 26. player. 59. . RB. Miami Dolphins

Pick via Texans

This pick might come across as controversial for a couple of reasons. For one, the Dolphins using all three of their first-round picks on offense might seem to be a bit overkill. But when you look at this offense, that’s what they need — a complete overhaul. Meanwhile, you can argue about running back value but Clemson’s Travis Etienne is more than explosive and talented enough to warrant it.

Etienne is simply a big play waiting to happen. If he gets the ball in any kind of space, that play has a chance to go the distance given his vision, quickness and elite speed. Etienne would provide Joe Burrow with an elite option to both set up play-action and to provide a security blanket as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He’s another piece to help rebuild this Miami team in the proper way, making life easier for the new franchise quarterback.
