Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jeffrey Okudah. 7. player. 48. . CB

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not been shy about addressing cornerback early in the draft in recent years. That’s actually been a problem for them, though, because those selections have not largely worked out, which stands to reason why they have the worst pass defense in the NFL this season. So in this NFL Mock Draft, they stick with Jameis Winston for at least one more year and tab Jeffrey Okudah as their guy.

Ohio State’s standout cornerback, Okudah has been nothing short of a lockdown player on the outside this season for the Buckeyes. He has all of the physical tools, ball-hawking abilities, instincts and footwork that you want to see from a defensive back. He’s well worth a top-10 pick in 2020, especially for a Bucs team that simply must be able to defend the pass better.

player. 31. . WR. New York Giants. CeeDee Lamb. 8

There’s no doubt that the New York Giants need to continue upgrading their defense, specifically pertaining to their pass rush. However, the value for that type of player given the personnel they do have just isn’t there with the No. 8 pick. Thus, we turn to helping Daniel Jones out by getting him a viable top wide receiver, which CeeDee Lamb out of Oklahoma fits the mold of.

Lamb came into this season with everyone praising and touting his ability to make plays in 50-50 situations and also as a solid route-runner for a guy with his build. Where he’s wowed this year, though, is his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He’s been a yards-after-catch monster for the Sooners and the Giants could undoubtedly use that type of versatile weapon on the offense.
