Stud: Brian Hill

With Devonta Freeman dealing with ankle injury issues that pushed him out of the contest for the Falcons, Brian Hill picked things up within the running game and the ground attack and led the way for Atlanta in the victory.

Hill finished the game with a team-high 61 rushing yards on a team-most 20 rushing attempts to pace the Falcons. He also grabbed a total of 10 yards through the air on one reception in the game. Although the biggest question is whether or not Freeman will be able to get back to being healthy and leading the running back group in Atlanta, but the fact that Hill stepped up the way he did on Sunday afternoon in the win was a big plus.

Dud: Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan, who has been dealing with some injury issues and was able to rehab enough to return to the field this week and help lead his team to a much-needed win, didn’t have a horrible game but didn’t necessarily shine in the contest. Ryan finished the game on the road converting on 20 of his total 35 pass attempts to tally a total of 182 passing yards through the air. With two touchdown passes, Ryan did throw one interception down the stretch of the matchup.

It was at least a plus to have Ryan back on the field for Atlanta, but it will need its quarterback to turn things up a notch more moving forward the rest of the year.
