The Dallas Cowboys welcome the Minnesota Vikings to Texas for Sunday Night Football in Week 10. Bold predictions for the big NFC showdown.

Talk about a matchup worthy of a primetime slot on Sunday Night Football — in Week 10, the 6-3 Minnesota Vikings head to AT&T Stadium for a matchup with the 5-3 Dallas Cowboys, a team that sits atop the NFC East after nine weeks. This is a matchup between what appears to be two NFC playoff teams and one that could deliver fireworks to cap off Sunday’s action.

While plenty of eyes will be on the quarterback matchup between Dak Prescott and Kirk Cousins, there’s no question that both the Cowboys and Vikings consider their star running backs, Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook, the hearts of their teams. Thus, how those two stars perform on Sunday night could go a long way in determining how things play out in Arlington.

Speaking of, how will things play out in this big Week 10 clash? Let’s make five bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

5. Cousins picked off twice, sacked four times

Kirk Cousins playing in primetime is not something that Vikings fans should feel remotely confident in. For his career in 19 primetime games (games starting at 7:00 p.m. ET or later), Cousins’ teams have just a 6-13 record. Furthermore, Cousins has thrown 16 interceptions and fumbled nine times in such games.

That’s before you even get into the eye tests, as well. Cousins simply looks like he crumbles in the big moments and when the lights are brightest. His overall counting stats with yardage and touchdowns look fine but those are aided by garbage time numbers because the quarterback simply doesn’t put his team in a position to win.

Facing a Cowboys pass rush that has been playing extremely well as of late and with an offensive line in front of him that can be had, Cousins’ primetime woes are not going away in this game. Dallas’ front seven, led by DeMarcus Lawrence, will bring the Vikings signal-caller to the turf at least four times and the secondary, which came alive last week, will pick Cousins off at least twice.
