3. Cook tops 150 total yards

For the season, Dalvin Cook has been one of the NFL’s best running backs, the heartbeat of the Minnesota Vikings offense. Through nine games in 2019, the Florida State product has 177 carries for 894 yards and nine touchdowns, along with 33 receptions for 338 yards as well. He’s been the go-to guy in the Twin Cities and, now that he’s healthy, has delivered on that.

Having said that, Cook has been relatively quiet by his standards over the past two weeks — at least as a rusher. In Week 8 against Washington, he had 23 carries for 98 yards and a score, though he did have 73 receiving yards. Last week, Cook followed that up by rushing for only 71 yards on 21 carries but again added 45 yards receiving.

While the Cowboys defense always has the potential to make plays, they have been had against running backs this season, most notably getting torched by Aaron Jones in their matchup against the Packers. That spells a big game for Cook, especially in a game in which I expect Kirk Cousins to have a hard time.

Against Dallas, Cook will earn his sixth 100-yard rushing day of the season and his first in the last three weeks but won’t be done there as he’ll play enough of a factor in the passing attack to end up with 150 total yards on the day. The question, though, is whether or not a big day for the running back is enough to push the Vikings to victory.
