18. Indianapolis Colts (13)

A meeting with the Miami Dolphins seemed like the perfect opportunity for the Indianapolis Colts to rest Jacoby Brissett after the quarterback suffered an injury during a Week 9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Turns out, the Colts could have used Brissett in a big way on Sunday after suffering a surprise 16-12 loss at home to the Dolphins to give the Houston Texans the upper hand in the AFC South race.

After watching how effective Brian Hoyer appeared to be against the Steelers one week earlier, Indianapolis had plenty of reasons to feel confident in the veteran being able to help the offense get by against a one-win team in Miami.

By throwing three interceptions in the loss, the Colts could be in trouble on offense if Brissett ends up being out longer than expected since Hoyer may not be as reliable as originally expected.

Favorable games like this are the ones that come back to haunt teams down the road, and with Indianapolis looking like a top team in the AFC at times, losing like this at home to Miami is just embarrassing.

For the sake of the offense, here’s to hoping Brissett recovers quickly, or the Colts are going to be in serious trouble.
