NFL Power Rankings, Week 11: Falcons stun Saints, Vikings hold strong
By Dan Parzych
31. Washington Redskins (30)
As if the drama surrounding Trent Williams wasn’t already frustrating enough, keep in mind the Washington Redskins only have one win to their name heading into Week 11 with no signs of improving anytime soon.
Back in the offseason, the Redskins seemed to be a team that could potentially make a surprise run at a playoff spot in the NFC since their defense seemed decent, but clearly this team is an overall mess with a lot of areas in need of improvement in the offseason.
Moving forward, the most important thing for Washington to accomplish is determine whether Dwayne Haskins is the right answer under center on offense, which unfortunately is easier said than done.
It would be one thing if the Redskins were putting the rookie quarterback in position to succeed on offense, but clearly this is far from the case.
The fact that Washington has been held to 17 points or less in every game dating back to Week 3 shows how horrendous the offense has been in 2019, and it’s difficult not to feel bad for Haskins or anyone else under center.
Not even the New York Jets coming to town makes it seem like the Redskins have what it takes to earn their second win of the year since Washington could lose every game the rest of the way, and no one would be surprised at all.
