Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) at Los Angeles Chargers (4-6)

Monday, November 18, 8:15PM ET

Right now, the Kansas City Chiefs desperately need to get back on track. After coming into the season as one of the Super Bowl favorites, a midseason injury to Patrick Mahomes has stalled their progress. Having lost four of their last six games, they can’t afford to lose in Week 11.

Luckily, they’ve got the wildly erratic and unpredictable Los Angeles Chargers to deal with. While the home team is certainly capable of making it five losses in their last seven games, I don’t have much confidence in their ability to win at this moment.

Why? Because Philip Rivers is having one of the most unstable seasons of his illustrious career. Or maybe it’s the fact that the Los Angeles defense shows up one week, and then pulls off a disappearing act the next? How about the inconsistency we’ve seen from Melvin Gordon since he returned following a lengthy holdout?

More importantly, Mahomes is back at quarterback for the Chiefs and should be healthier than he was a week ago. Having him running the show should do wonders for this Kansas City offense, which has already looked good without him in 2019. The Chiefs need a win in the worst of ways, and get it against the NFL’s most insignificant home-field advantage.

Prediction: Chiefs win 31-22
