NFL Notebook, Week 10: Game of the year, sleeping Titans, awards and more

Seahawks, 49ers gave us the Game of the Year
I’m not sure what’s crazier: Monday night’s Seattle-San Fransisco game or the fact that it’s already Week 11. Ironically enough, it took us only 10 weeks to get this year’s Game of the Year candidate.
The game had everything. Two hot offenses versus two rising young defenses. Defensive touchdowns. Franchise quarterbacks going neck and neck. Two comebacks leading to an overtime thriller. The ups and downs of being an NFL kicker. This weird exchange at the overtime coin toss:
I was glued to the game from start to finish. I truly think this these teams can meet again in the NFC Championship. It’s fascinating when you look at how each team got to where they are now.
After years of being terrible following the franchise’s first Super Bowl appearance since 1994, the 49ers rebuilt their team under Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch, both of whom were hired in 2017. However, it took them three seasons and countless injuries to reach the top of the NFL again.
As for the Seahawks, they rebuilt their post-Super-Bowl roster on the fly. Despite no losing record in the previous eight seasons, Seattle overhauled their roster and now return to the top of the NFC yet again.
Something tells me this matchup will be must-see TV for years to come, starting with Dec. 29, 2019.
