13. Foles wins first game with Jaguars

As exciting as it was to watch Gardner Minshew over the last few months, the Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t paying Nick Foles all money just to have the former Super Bowl MVP watching from the sidelines.

Losing Foles right away to an injury back in Week 1 was devastating for the Jaguars when looking at the previous expectations for the offense, but on a positive note, at least Minshew helped the team still earn four wins in the process.

Reaching the playoffs may be a tough task for Jacksonville at the moment, but luckily there’s still plenty of time remaining to try pulling it off, and Foles being healthy certainly puts the Jaguars in better position.

On Sunday, Foles the Jaguars will head to the midwest for a key battle against the Indianapolis Colts, who are coming off a surprise loss at home to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

Clearly, the Dolphins were able to take advantage of the Colts playing without Jacoby Brissett, and if the Jaguars’ defense can find a way to do the same, this will help take some of the pressure off Foles.

Even if Foles looks a little rusty at first since Week 1 was a long time ago, the extra time off from the bye week should help the Jacksonville quarterback.
