2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

During this final stretch of the regular season, Jameis Winston will be looking to make a case for himself to show the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he has what it takes to continue being the starter beyond the 2019 season.

A team like the Buccaneers can only give a quarterback in Winston so many opportunities to prove he’s capable of being the starter.

And while there have certainly been times in which Winston has looked like a top quarterback, consistency has been a major issue for the former top overall pick.

The fact that Winston has been the starter in Tampa Bay since 2015, and has yet to appear in the playoffs is the perfect example of what the Buccaneers have been dealing with over the years.

To top it off, the Buccaneers are most likely heading towards another year of missing out on the playoffs unless some sort of miracle takes place from now until the end of December.

Kaepernick may not be their top choice as far as potential replacements for Winston are concerned, but Tampa Bay also isn’t in a position where they can afford to be picky if they end up deciding to give it another go with someone else at quarterback down the road.
