10. Miami Dolphins

Similar to the situation with the New York Giants, the Miami Dolphins are hopeful that Josh Rosen turns out to be the long-term answer on offense, but their future backup quarterback is still undecided.

Brian Flores has made it clear time after time that Ryan Fitzpatrick gives the Dolphins their best chance to win games at the moment, but also the case can be made that Miami is holding Rosen back from receiving the necessary experience during his second NFL season.

As great as Fitzpatrick has looked at times, the veteran knows that he may not have that much time left in the NFL since a quarterback’s body can only take so many hits at a certain age.

Does this mean the Dolphins would even consider signing Kaepernick?

For starters, the one factor that immediately comes to mind is how there is no guarantee that Rosen is going to turn out to be the reliable starter Miami is looking for, meaning a backup option like Kaepernick isn’t the worst idea in the world.

Even if the Dolphins decided down the road to explore quarterback options in the upcoming draft, what would they have to lose in signing Kaepernick as another short-term answer if things failed to work out with Rosen?
