7. Atlanta Falcons

With the Atlanta Falcons currently sitting on the bottom of the NFC South at the moment, this is a team with nothing to lose the rest of the way, and could be in for an offseason filled with numerous changes.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Atlanta seems willing to give up on Matt Ryan since the former MVP is still playing at an effective level, but as far as whether the Falcons would be willing to switch things up at backup quarterback, well that’s a different story.

Nothing against Matt Schaub since the veteran already proved this season he can still be counted on when needed, but also this is a quarterback that will be turning 39 towards the end of June.

In other words, the older Schaub gets, the more concerned Atlanta could be beyond the 2020 season, which is probably one of the reasons they’re willing to give Kaepernick a look.

Falcons fans remember all too well Kaepernick’s role in preventing Atlanta from reaching the Super Bowl many years ago when he was a member of the San Francisco 49ers, but the past is the past.

If Kaepernick were to end up coming on board at some point, as long as he helps the Falcons, this is all fans will truly care about.
