Chicago Bears: 5 Players who must shine vs. Rams in Week 11
The Chicago Bears hit the road in Week 11 to take on the Los Angeles Rams and keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Here are five players who must step up and shine to make that happen.
The Chicago Bears finally ended their month-long losing streak with a victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 10. The win got them out of the NFC North cellar and kept their slim playoff hopes alive.
This week, they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams, who also hold faint playoff hopes. The loser of this game likely loses all hope for the playoffs.
A game between two desperate teams could result in a good game. The way both offenses are struggling, the defenses will take over and shine. Just like last season’s matchup, the team who scores a touchdown probably wins the game.
The Bears offense needs to do whatever it takes to get just enough points to win. The win against the Lions gave the team some confidence. If they can get another win this week, they could be in a good position. After they face the Rams, they go home and take on the 2-8 New York Giants, then have a rematch against the last-place Lions on Thanksgiving.
The Bears’ running attack suffered what might be a major blow depending on how hurt David Montgomery‘s ankle is. He surprisingly popped up in the injury report. He is the main (or only) real running back the Bears have. Tarik Cohen cannot be an every-down back so if Montgomery can’t go that spells trouble. The Bears will have to lean on the air attack. Lucky for them, the Rams’ secondary isn’t the best so quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to take advantage.
In order for the Bears to beat the Rams and keep their playoff hopes alive, these five players need to step up and shine.
