Week 15 vs. Bears

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears renewed their bitter rivalry in the opening Thursday night contest of the 2019 NFL season. What transpired was one of the uglier games that we’ve seen — even still — this year. Neither team topped 260 yards of total offense in the game but it was the Packers that emerged victorious at Soldier Field when the 60 minutes were up.

Since that season-opener, though, two things have transpired. First, the Packers have really hit their stride under LaFleur. It was clear at the time that Aaron Rodgers was not fully comfortable and acclimated to the new system, which is no longer the case. But perhaps more importantly, the Bears have not improved, specifically in regards to the play of Mitchell Trubisky.

This is another matchup where the Green Bay defensive front can have a big outing as the Bears offensive line has performed well below expectations this season. And if they can get pressure, you can count on Trubisky making a number of errors given what he’s shown us in the 2019 campaign.

Yes, this might not be the easiest matchup for Rodgers, Jones and the Packers offense. Khalil Mack and the Chicago defense remain an extremely talented unit. But with the field position that Green Bay should have given the ineptitude of the Bears offense, the Packers will make enough plays to secure a comfortable win.

Predicted Outcome: Win
