LB. 5. 50. Pick Analysis. Detroit Lions. Isaiah Simmons. player. Scouting Report

The Detroit Lions could be looking to move on from Matthew Stafford considering his age and high cap number. But he still has some life in his arm so that could be a while off before the team does pull the trigger.

In this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, the Lions stick with the former No. 1 overall pick for at least another year. Instead of making a move under center, they grab Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons.

Capable of playing all over the field, Simmons is a great weapon for Matt Patricia to use on his defense as he continues to try and build a roster he can contend with.

Andrew Thomas. Scouting Report. New York Jets. 6. player. 30. Pick Analysis. OT

Next up is the New York Jets, and their goal in this offseason will be easy — help Sam Darnold succeed. They invested a third overall pick in the USC product and so far, the results aren’t what they expected. That’s not all on the quarterback though as the talent around him has been highly questionable.

With their first pick here, they give him some help up front as they add left tackle Andrew Thomas from Georgia. The SEC player is the top offensive lineman in the class and bringing him on gives Darnold just a little more time to avoid the pesky ghosts he sees on the field.
