Josh Rosen

Can Josh Rosen please catch a break? Rosen was a top-10 pick in 2018. He was taken by an Arizona Cardinals organization that was in flux and disastrous, only to be dealt to a Miami Dolphins organization that is in full-on teardown mode and is equally disastrous. What gives?

There hasn’t been much NFL success to brag on with Rosen. But he does possess prototypical NFL capabilities and a high football IQ. When you couple that with his potential, he seems like a good investment for a franchise that is willing to take the time to develop him in their system.

Be honest, wouldn’t you rather your team have Rosen than any one of the Allens (Josh, Kyle, Brandon)? Of course you would! The guy is oozing with pedigree and skill.

I don’t know which team exactly will wind up with Rosen in 2020 — but it will be his third team in as many years. There should be plenty of savvy suitors to consider him as a much more palatable developmental option than spending a mid-round draft pick.

The Steelers, Chargers, Packers and Saints all come to mind. But, if it smells like a great investment at a great value, then my bet is that Josh Rosen somehow becomes the heir apparent to Tom Brady and the future starting quarterback of the New England Patriots.
