3. Hill, Kelce each go for over 100 yards, score

Despite suffering the loss to the Titans last week, Patrick Mahomes’ big passing numbers for the Kansas City Chiefs were helped greatly by huge performances from his two biggest weapons, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce. Though the former has been banged up this season and the latter hadn’t had a monster game yet, they both delivered big in the losing effort.

Hill was targeted an incredible 19 times in the game, hauling in 11 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown. Kelce didn’t have quite as insane of an outing as his speedy teammate but did bring in all seven of his targets on the day and ended the afternoon with 75 yards and a touchdown of his own.

The thing about Estadio Azteca is that it’s over a mile above sea level. That means the ball is going to fly in this type of matchup, which suits Mahomes and the Chiefs in a big way, especially with the elite speed that Hill has. The Chargers don’t have anyone that can match him in that department and Mahomes is going to take advantage, finding the speedster often again for another 100-yard and at least one-score day.

Meanwhile, Kelce has a terrific matchup against a defense that is lacking in regards to linebackers and is still without Derwin James. The Chiefs will look to exploit that and Kelce will actually better his impressive outing from last week, also getting over the century mark and again finding the end zone at least once.
