12. Oakland Raiders (13)

This week was a lot closer than they expected, but the Oakland Raiders held off the Cincinnati Bengals and won 17-10. The victory moved them to 6-4 on the season and 5-1 at home. It’s a far cry from what was expected after a rough first season under head coach Jon Gruden.

They’ve been able to move the ball well on the ground as Josh Jacobs has proven to be a star already in the NFL. On Sunday, he went for 112 yards on 23 carries and did enough to keep the chains moving and the clock ticking in the one-score game.

Derek Carr was also on his game. He wasn’t chucking the ball downfield but he was incredibly precise, going 25-of-29 passing for 292 yards with a touchdown and a pick. He also added a running touchdown for good measure.

When Gruden returned to the team last season, it was thought that Carr would be on the way out. However, the tough-style coaching from Gruden has gone over well with the former second-round pick and he’s looking like the player we all saw back in 2016 when he led them to 12 wins. They are now tied with Kansas City — awaiting the results of Monday Night — and can make a run down the stretch.
