9. Dallas Cowboys (12)

If Dak Prescott isn’t on the shortlist for MVP this season, he should be. The Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback has made some incredible strides as a player this season and is playing out of his mind. The notion has been that Ezekiel Elliott is doing all the heavy lifting while Prescott benefits from his presence, but that hasn’t been the case this season.

Prescott once again was operating like a surgeon on the field, throwing for 444 yards with three touchdowns and no picks. It was his third game this year to go over 400-yards and he just had 397 the week before. He’s already topped the 3,200-yard mark and has 21 passing touchdowns on the year.

As great as he was Sunday, the Cowboys still have to be concerned about their team as a whole. The offense was great with both Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb topping 100-yards through the air. They also finally got Tony Pollard and Zeke involved in the passing game as each scored a touchdown through the air.

However, their defense was unimpressive. With Detroit starting Jeff Driskel and leaning heavily on Bo Scarbrough in the run game, they surrendered 27 points. They also failed to record a turnover again. If they want to get past the divisional round of the postseason, they need to find a way to be better than that on defense.
