Stud: Roquan Smith

Once again, linebacker Roquan Smith had Rams quarterback Jared Goff’s number. On a second-and-nine at one point, Goff threw a pass intended for wide receiver Josh Reynolds that was easily intercepted by Smith.

That’s now the second time Smith has intercepted Goff in his young career. It was a great effort by the second-year linebacker. Putting himself at the right place and the right time, the ball hit Smith right on the chest. He ultimately held on and secured the interception.

Although the linebacker hasn’t quite been himself this season and is not playing at nearly the same elite level as he did in his rookie year, he nonetheless showed on Sunday night that he has what it takes to be one of the Bears’ elite playmakers on defense.

Dud: Allen Robinson

Did Allen Robinson play this game? It was hard to tell, considering he was covered by Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey the entire game. Limited to a mere 15 yards on four receptions, Robinson simply could not escape the clutches the Rams’ new shutdown corner.

The lone bright spot on the Bears’ offense for much of this season, Robinson certainly did not play the part during this matchup with the Rams. Whether it’s Trubisky or Daniel moving forward, the No. 1 receiver needs to be better moving forward.
