The Dallas Cowboys sit at 6-4 and atop the NFC East after 11 weeks but how will they finish? Predicting wins and losses for the rest of their 2019 season.

Variance has been the calling card of the Dallas Cowboys through their first 10 games of the 2019 season. Dak Prescott has been playing at an MVP level for much of the year but Ezekiel Elliott has not been able to be a dominant force. Similarly, this young, talented defense headlined by DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch has been up and down as well.

The result has been a ton of uneven performances from the Cowboys this season. In some weeks, Jason Garrett‘s team looks like a potential Super Bowl contender. In others, they’re losing to the New York Jets on the road. They have been maddening in trying to predict what they’re going to do in a given week, even more so when you see how clear the potential is for this team.

Sitting at 6-4 on the season, though, the Cowboys have the NFC East lead after 11 weeks with a one-game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles. But with some difficult games remaining on the 2019 schedule, Dallas needs to finish strong if they’re going to win the division and return to the playoffs.

Will they finish up strong and complete their return to the postseason? Let’s go through the Dallas Cowboys’ final six games of the 2019 season and predict whether they’ll win or lose. That starts with a huge matchup in Week 12.

Week 12 at Patriots

People seem to be writing the Dallas Cowboys off in Week 12 before they ever take the field in Foxborough against the New England Patriots. Yes, Tom Brady and the Pats have been rolling on their way to 9-1 this season and seem on their way to a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs. They are a very good football team and that’s not breaking news to anyone.

But at the same time, the Cowboys at their best are also an incredibly dangerous football team. You can look at the loss to the Jets or the narrow win over the Lions and have questions about them that are justified but, when they need to get up for crucial games, they have the talent with Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper and a strong defense to do so.

When you look back on New England’s one loss this season in Week 9 on the road versus Baltimore, it was obvious that the unique offensive style of the Ravens with Lamar Jackson was something that this Patriots offense wasn’t ready for. However, the Cowboys have the personnel to at least cause issues for New England’s big bodies on defense, using Prescott in designed runs, unleashing Elliott in the passing game and using a deep wide receiver corps to attack linebackers.

Call it a hot take, call it delusion, call it anything you want; the Cowboys are going on the road and beating the New England Patriots. And in doing so, they’ll take firm control of the NFC East in Week 12 as many (especially Eagles fans) are counting on Dallas to lose this one.

Predicted Result: Win
