Week 16 at Eagles

This is the one that matters for the Dallas Cowboys. After Week 11, they have a one-game lead in the NFC East over the Philadelphia Eagles. However, even if Dallas is able to go on a run down the stretch that includes beating New England, the Eagles have a soft schedule and could very well be in line to take the division if they can beat their rivals in Philadelphia in Week 16.

In the Week 7 matchup between these two teams, though, Dallas absolutely had their way with the Eagles. Prescott was actually not playing as well as he had of late, even against the lacking Philadelphia secondary, but Ezekiel Elliott had one of his best games of the season with 111 yards and a touchdown in the 37-10 victory.

Any Cowboys fan expecting another blowout win would be mistaken, though. Not only is this game on the road but the Eagles secondary is now healthier, even if they are still well below being a good overall unit. Moreover, the inconsistency of Dallas as a whole raises some concerns in its own right.

While that may all be true, I have too much faith in how Prescott is playing as of late. He’s performing at an MVP level while the Eagles offense simply doesn’t look dangerous right now. Dak can take advantage of this secondary with Amari Cooper or Michael Gallup and, even if the defense gives up more than 10 points, the offense can simply outscore Philly to pick up the biggest win of the year.

Predicted Result: Win
