With the Minnesota Vikings entering their bye week in Week 12, here are three observations from the season up to this point for the Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings get a much-needed break from action while emerging as one of the top teams in the NFC and NFL to this point. The Vikings are entering their bye week in Week 12, going into the week off riding a hot streak up to this point in the year.

Following a painful yet impressive comeback victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 11 on Sunday afternoon, Minnesota is 6-1 in its last seven contests while riding a two-game winning streak going into Week 12.

The Vikings have been impressive up to this point in the 2019 campaign and currently have a spot in the postseason bracket through 11 weeks of action, holding an 8-3 record while still in the running for a chance to claim the NFC North title.

Minnesota, which is also undefeated at 5-0 at home so far this year and are one of two teams — with the only other team being the New England Patriots — who have yet to lose in front of its home crowd, remains just a half-game behind the Green Bay Packers (8-2 overall) atop the NFC North standings. The Packers went through their bye week in Week 11, which allowed the Vikings to inch closer to first place in the division.

The division is likely a two-team race at this point between Minnesota and Green Bay, with both squads sitting in front of the Chicago Bears (4-6) and the Detroit Lions (3-6-1) in the NFC North standings.

For the remainder of the season following its bye week in Week 12, Minnesota will have somewhat of a tough schedule for the final five weeks of the regular season. The Vikings will return to action in Week 13 when it travels to face off against the Seattle Seahawks in a big playoff picture impacting NFC showdown on Monday Night Football in Seattle.

Minnesota will wrap up the rest of its schedule with three of its final four games at home at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, taking on the Lions in Week 14, Packers in Week 16 and Bears in Week 17. The lone road game during that four-game stretch will be in Week 15 in Los Angeles against the Chargers.

With the Vikings heading into their bye week in Week 12 of the 2019 campaign, let’s take a look at the season up to this point for the purple and gold and come up with three observations that have popped up for Minnesota.
