Carolina Panthers (5-5) at New Orleans Saints (8-2)

Sunday, November 24, 1PM ET

It’s been an interesting past couple of weeks for both of these clubs. They’ve both fallen to the Falcons, and the Panthers were bested by the Green Bay Packers. The Saints managed to survive the Buccaneers, but it’s been a humbling stretch to say the least.

Unfortunately, one of these teams is going to take another step in the wrong direction on Sunday. And if my pick is right, it’ll be Carolina. Right now, they’ve got less momentum, less talent and no home-field advantage on their side. Put simply, the pieces don’t fit together to equal a win, at least by what I can tell.

Kyle Allen‘s performance in Week 11 was a bit disconcerting. Going up against a very talented New Orleans secondary, you better believe they’ll make him pay for every little mistake. If he puts on a similar performance to the garbage he mustered last weekend, we could see this one get out of hand quickly.

While I don’t think that’ll end up being the case, I also don’t foresee things going well for the Panthers. Drew Brees and Co. get rolling early, and the New Orleans defense does its job. While Christian McCaffrey makes this one worth watching, Carolina won’t keep it close on the scoreboard.

Prediction: Saints win 30-20
