9. Gordon catches first touchdown as member of Seahawks

Even though Josh Gordon‘s numbers (two catches for 27 yards) didn’t stand out like some of his teammates in his first game with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, the wideout still came up big to help take down the San Francisco 49ers.

A few weeks ago, the Seahawks knew they had nothing to lose by claiming Gordon off waivers from the New England Patriots since Seattle is in one of those positions in which they’re willing to consider all options if it helps earn a trip to the Super Bowl.

San Francisco may currently lead the NFC West at the moment, but all Seattle needs is a win in Week 12 along with a 49ers loss to make the division race even more intense.

The Seahawks never would have even considered the idea of Gordon if they didn’t truly believe he was capable of helping in a big way on offense, and if this turns out to be a steal, it’s only going to make Russell Wilson‘s MVP case that much stronger as well.

Looking at the Philadelphia Eagles, and all of the injuries the defense has been dealing with, this could be one of those games in which Gordon breaks out to help Seattle earn a tough win on the road.
