8. Allen finishes with zero interceptions for first time since Week 6

Remember all the praise Kyle Allen received earlier in the year for his decision making on offense with the Carolina Panthers?

After filling in for Cam Newton, Allen quickly proved some of his doubters wrong by winning each of his first four starts in 2019, all while going without a single interception.

Protecting the football is never an easy task for any quarterback, but Allen’s smart decision making would help Carolina become a playoff contender in the NFC.

With that being said, the Panthers have dug themselves a bit of a hole in recent weeks with two tough losses in a row to the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons.

Most recently, Allen’s performance against the Falcons was one to forget after the Carolina quarterback finished with four interceptions, leaving plenty of fans wondering if he is, in fact, the long-term answer for the Panthers.

Up next, Allen and the Panthers will hit the road for what should be another tough matchup within the NFC South against the first-place New Orleans Saints.

One would assume that Allen will be in for another long game when facing the Saints, but with Carolina in desperate need of a win, here’s to hoping the Panthers quarterback shows up, or Ron Rivera’s squad could be looking at three losses in a row.
