14. Driskel finally wins first game with Lions

No one needs to explain just how difficult it has been for the Detroit Lions over the last few weeks playing without Matthew Stafford while the former No. 1 pick continues to deal with a back injury.

But on a positive note, at least the Lions have seen Jeff Driskel perform better than expected over the last two games for Detroit, even if both contests resulted in losses.

Just the fact that Driskel played well enough for the Lions in which they lost by single-digits to both the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys shows the backup quarterback has been playing better than expected for the Lions.

As for what Week 12 could have in store, other than having to play on the road, Detroit seems to have one of the most favorable games against a Washington Redskins team with only one win to their name.

If Driskel were looking for the perfect opportunity to earn his first win as a starter for the Lions, this may be the perfect opportunity to do so while helping Detroit feel a little better over how this season has been.

Playoffs seem like a long shot at the moment with the Lions sitting at 3-6-1, but crazier things have taken place in the NFL down the stretch of regular seasons in previous years.
