1. Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders deserve all of the credit in the world for being in this current position when looking at all of the early drama heading into September, mainly the fallout from Antonio Brown.

Even after losing four of six games, the Raiders have found a way to win three games in a row to make a case for earning one of the playoff spots in the AFC.

Facing a team like the New York Jets would make it seem like Oakland should be in for an easy win, but also keep in mind there are a few factors that could work against the Raiders.

Right away, it’s never easy for any team to travel across the country for a game, and the Jets have shown surprise life in recent weeks, meaning Oakland needs to be cautious once this game gets underway.

With the Raiders in need of every win possible to keep things close with the Kansas City Chiefs, this game against the Jets isn’t one they can afford to lose with a difficult month of December right around the corner.

Plus, after seeing how close Oakland came to losing last weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals, this adds even more pressure to the Raiders in making sure they defeat the Jets.
