Eddie Jackson, Safety

In his first two seasons, Eddie Jackson has been amazing. He has eight interceptions, three forced fumbles, and five defensive touchdowns. This season, however, things haven’t been as good. He doesn’t have an interception or a defensive touchdown yet. Additionally, he has one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Jackson has gotten better, though. He recorded 23 tackles in his first seven games. In his last three games, however, he has 20. In Week 11 against the Rams, Jackson was consistently around the ball.

I feel that Jackson is about to have a breakout game soon this season. He’s been more active and getting closer to making big plays. Even though his turnover and touchdown numbers are down, he is on pace to come close to his career-high in tackles. That number is 70, recorded in 2017. He had 51 last season and 42 so far this season. He’s on pace to finish the season with about 67.

The Giants’ offense ranks 31st in turnovers and 20th in interceptions. If the Bears pass rush can get to quarterback Daniel Jones, he’ll give Chicago a chance at turnovers. He has 13 fumbles and 8 interceptions so the ball will eventually be on the ground. Hopefully, the Bears players get to it, and Jackson gets in on the turnover party.
