50. . CB. Detroit Lions. Jeffrey Okudah. 5. player

Darius Slay has been unbelievably good still for the Lions. However, the cornerback is simply out on an island right now. All opposing offenses have to do is target whoever Slay is not covering and they’ll be good to go. Jeffrey Okudah can change that. The Ohio State cornerback is a shutdown player on the edge for the Buckeyes and could be a tremendous compliment to Slay in Detroit.

QB. Miami Dolphins. Justin Herbert. 6. player. 59.

The Tua Tagovailoa injury probably hits the Miami Dolphins the hardest. This is the player they’ve seemingly been destined for throughout this entire year and now it seems hard to believe they would take him at No. 6 given what we know now. Luckily, Oregon’s Justin Herbert is an elite consolation prize. The Ducks quarterback checks every box with physical tools but has also progressed quite well throughout his college career as a playmaker and decision-maker.

7. player. 48. . OT. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tristan Wirfs

Jameis Winston is likely not going to be the quarterback in Tampa Bay in 2020. And yet, I’m not sure they take a signal-caller in the first round of the draft. Instead, they get protection in place for whoever takes over under center. Tristan Wirfs has been a mammoth for the Iowa offensive line, showcasing his size, strength and shocking athleticism to be a stalwart on the edge.

EDGE. Arizona Cardinals. A.J. Epenesa. 8. player. 32.

Coming into the season, A.J. Epenesa was touted as the 1B to Chase Young’s 1A in terms of edge rushers. And while he’s still impressive physically, his production has worried some, even if he’s been consistently facing double or triple teams. The Cardinals see what they can get here, though, and take on Epenesa to be a Calais Campbell type on defense, a versatile and movable piece up front that can play on the edge or with his hand in the dirt.
