87. . QB. Carolina Panthers. Jalen Hurts. 17. player

Kyle Allen was impressive early after taking over for Cam Newton but has since started to show that he might not be the Panthers’ answer at quarterback long term. My belief is that Carolina still moves on from Newton, though, making Jalen Hurts their priority in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. The Oklahoma quarterback is incredibly athletic but has improved his accuracy and decision-making as a passer. Moreover, he’s the type of leader you want in your locker room.

Tennessee Titans. Jacob Eason. 18. player. 35. . QB

Jacob Eason has some of the most intriguing tools of any quarterback in the 2020 draft class. The Washington signal-caller has the size, arm strength and playmaking flashes that you want. However, he clearly needs development for him to be a viable starter in the NFL. The Titans could go another year with Ryan Tannehill and allow Eason to develop into their future at the position for the long haul.

19. player. 52. . WR. Jacksonville Jaguars. Henry Ruggs III

Pick via Rams

D.J. Chark is undeniably a speedy big-play threat, so the Jaguars adding Henry Ruggs III might seem redundant. It’s not. The Alabama wide receiver indeed has world-class speed and could break the 40-yard dash record at the combine but he’s also a nuanced route-runner that can be used in ways that Chark can not. That gives Nick Foles a versatile attack with more weapons to work with.

. DT. Indianapolis Colts. Javon Kinlaw. 20. player. 46

Chris Ballard has done a tremendous job of building up the Colts in a short amount of time. While that may be true, the defense still has room to grow, specifically with getting consistent push in the trenches. Javon Kinlaw can do that as soon as he comes to Indianapolis. The South Carolina product is a force that can’t be contained on the interior, a pass-rushing threat that can also be effective against the run with his space-eating.
