1. Silver and black need overtime to get it done

It’s hard to see a blowout win in Week 12. Roster against roster, the Oakland Raiders should win. They have a better quarterback, offensive line, running game and, most importantly, a better head coach. Adam Gase is no Jon Gruden — and while you can see this being nip-and-tuck for four quarters, the quality and talent of players win out.

However, something screams that the Raiders might be looking ahead to a showdown against the Chiefs. A win in New York, and suddenly Oakland at Kansas City conjures all those amazing memories of AFC West rivalries between two charter members of the old but not forgotten AFC.

This does have all the makings of a trap game. Darnold finds just enough to engineer a win, or the Raiders defense makes the kind of self-inflicted wound that gives the Jets life late in the game. All that may be true. All those things may happen.

Look for all the above, also look for the better team to hang in and rescue victory from the jaws of defeat. Raiders at Jets will be a game where both teams score in the low 20s, make errors and find both quarterbacks using some trickery. Also, look for the winner to need overtime. Raiders 23, Jets 20.
