Week 16 vs. Rams

While the Los Angeles Rams offense isn’t what it was one year ago, the 49ers Week 6 win over their NFC West rivals was a statement in a big way. San Francisco held the Rams to only seven points while Jared Goff threw for only 78 yards and the leading rusher was Malcolm Brown with 40 yards. And though Garoppolo and the offense only put up 20 points, it was more than enough.

As currently constructed and despite their improvements, the Rams offensive line remains a big problem for this team. They are not the same group that they have been and the 49ers have the horses to exploit that weakness. Given that and San Francisco’s ability to control the game with the rushing attack and George Kittle, San Francisco will complete the season sweep of Los Angeles with a Week 16 victory.

Predicted Outcome: Win

Week 17 at Seahawks

Despite the fact that George Kittle and some starting offensive linemen were out, the San Francisco 49ers still almost avoided their first loss of the season in their first meeting with the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle needed overtime and a missed field goal in the extra frame from a replacement kicker to ultimately kick their own game-winner and secure the victory.

Though this season-finale is in Seattle, the simple truth is that Seattle does not match up great with the 49ers. Yes, Russell Wilson is the great equalizer but a healthy Niners team can exploit the middle of the field, which has been a problem area for the Seahawks in 2019. Moreover, the defense can create pressure and make things difficult for Wilson and the opposing offense. The 49ers redeem their first loss with a road win to finish out the regular season.

Predicted Outcome: Win
Final Record: 13-3
