Stud: Turning Tampa Bay over

Over the course of the last few weeks, the Falcons defense has taken a step in the right direction and has been a dominant force to play against. On Sunday, with the exception of the few turnovers they were able to record, Atlanta allowed Tampa Bay to basically operate with ease offensively.

In the loss, the Falcons were able to record two interceptions, although it didn’t ultimately make too much of a difference in the contest. Desmond Trufant tallied one interception for the Falcons, while Devondre Campbell finished with the other interception for Atlanta.

The Falcons are making improvements on the defensive side of the ball after struggling in that phase of the game in the first half of the regular season. Now they just need to get back to limiting the number of points opponents are able to put up on the scoreboard to be able to come out on top in the game.

Dud: Second half production

After Atlanta opened the game up while holding a 10-7 advantage over its divisional opponent in Tampa Bay, everything kind of went downhill from that point on for the Falcons. Atlanta managed to just record 12 points over the course of the final three quarters while allowing Tampa Bay to record 28 points over that same span.

Moving forward, the Falcons will need to try and carry that early momentum they are able to grab so often into the second half of play to try and get back in the win column.
