NFL Power Rankings, Week 13: 49ers thrash Packers, Patriots handle Cowboys

30. Detroit Lions (28)
Sunday seemed like the perfect opportunity for the Jeff Driskel to finally record his first win as a starter for the Detroit Lions after coming up just short in previous weeks since the Washington Redskins only had one previous win to their name in 2019.
Unfortunately, this contest turned out to be too difficult for Driskel and the Lions to overcome after Detroit allowed Washington to pull off the 19-16 win.
With their seventh loss in eight games, it’s crazy to think about how quickly this season got away from Detroit since the team appeared to be in great position early on after the results from September.
Clearly, the last couple of games could have been much different if Matthew Stafford were healthy and not dealing with a back injury, but also as mentioned before, Driskel has been in position to win each of his three starts.
Then again, Driskel certainly didn’t help his case by finishing with three interceptions in the loss to the Redskins, making it easier to understand how the Lions missed out on numerous opportunities to earn the win in this one.
To top all this off, the Lions have to deal with their rivals in the Bears on a shorter week with both teams squaring off against one another on Thanksgiving Day in what now looks like the battle to avoid finishing on the bottom of the NFC North.
