28. Washington Redskins (31)

Disaster doesn’t even begin to describe what this season has been like for the Washington Redskins, but it was great to see Dwayne Haskins finally secure that first win as a starter after helping his team defeat the Detroit Lions.

Even though the Ohio State product failed to record a single touchdown pass, just the fact that Haskins no longer has to worry about the pressure of securing that first win should be a huge confidence boost for the Redskins rookie moving forward.

With some of the previous questions over whether Haskins is the right choice for Washington in the long run, the best approach the team can take is to use these final five games to evaluate the young quarterback to see his potential.

In a way, it’s sort of unfair for Haskins to receive some of the criticism he’s seen at times during his first season of action since the Redskins haven’t exactly put him in the best position possible to succeed with the lack of weapons on offense.

Once Washington focuses on building a better offense around the quarterback beyond the 2019 season, that is assuming Haskins earns another shot, then the Redskins will have a better idea about his future.
