Atlanta Falcons: 3 Bold predictions vs. Saints, Week 13
Before the Atlanta Falcons host the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving in Week 13, here are three bold predictions for the Falcons in the game.
The Atlanta Falcons will get a short week of preparation for Week 13. The Falcons will host their fourth straight divisional opponent on Thursday night in the third and final game of a triple-header slate of games on Thanksgiving Day, welcoming the New Orleans Saints to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Falcons are coming off of falling for the first time in their last three games last Sunday at home in Atlanta, dropping a divisional contest to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to see their two-game winning streak come to a close.
In that game, Atlanta jumped out to an early 10-7 lead after one quarter, but was outscored 28-12 in the final three quarters to fall to Tampa Bay 35-22 on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Falcons dropped to 3-8 overall and are now 1-4 at home this season. They also moved back down to the fourth and final spot in the NFC South standings, remaining behind the Buccaneers (4-7 overall), Carolina Panthers (5-6) and Saints (9-2) atop the division.
On the other side of the field, the Saints come into the contest against the Falcons riding a two-game winning streak while coming off of a 34-31 last-second victory over Carolina in Week 12.
In that contest, New Orleans hit a field goal as time expired to pull out the victory and grab its ninth win of the 2019 campaign going into Week 13 this week. The Saints remain ahead of the Panthers, Buccaneers and Falcons in the NFC South division, while sitting in the No. 2 seed in the NFC behind only the San Francisco 49ers (10-1).
Prior to the Falcons and Saints squaring off in Week 13 on Thursday night on a Thanksgiving Day football contest, here are three bold predictions that will take place for Atlanta in the contest.
