1. Lamar Jackson

The NFL is not an easy league to play in. These are the legitimate best football players in the world, save for the guys in college that are soon going to be joining the league. Because of that simple fact, having consistent success in the NFL is anything but simple. But Lamar Jackson is making it look all too easy in his second season as a pro.

Jackson barely had to break a sweat in dismantling the Rams in Week 12, a defense that had been showing signs of life lately, going 15-of-20 for 169 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing for 95 yards on just eight carries. He’s making the MVP race look like a race for second because of the cushion he’s giving himself in front of the rest of the pack.

There is no player in the league that creates the mismatch nightmares that Jackson does at this moment. Yes, part of that is the offense that he’s a part of, which goes back to the coaching staff. Having said that, the speed and rushing ability makes almost every snap not dissimilar to a Wildcat formation but he’s also shown tremendous progression as a passer, improving his accuracy and decision-maker.

If the Baltimore Ravens are going to win the Super Bowl, it’s going to be on the back of their likely-MVP-winning quarterback. He’s that type of game-changer. It seems as if he’s truly impossible to defend right now. Jackson hit the ground running this season and, after a couple stumbles, he’s recovered to look like the x-factor that can lead a team to the Lombardi Trophy.
